Living the Dream

So yeah I have been reminded numerous of times that I haven't updated my blog, so here ya go.

As most of you know I am back in India for the 2nd time around. Why India? Well they are started a professional football league here and I have been blessed enough to be able to take part of what could be the start of something big. Check out the website, EFLI.com. The first question I usually get is, "so you are playing football in India?", Nope here I am actually just working for the league as a coaches consultant. I go around from city to city making sure the players and coaches of the league are continuing to improve each day.

I guess its very important to understand that a lot of these guys had never even heard about the game a few months ago, and if they did, like most people outside America just associate it with Rugby. Which makes me think of a several times in my life people try to tell me I am lying when I tell them I either play or coach football. The first time it happened I was in Warsaw when a drunk girl tried to tell me that there is no such thing as American football in Poland. Even after I showed her the website which was in Polish she still refused to believe me. But as I look back I guess the fact that she was drunk should void everything she said.

In India I actually get a totally different response, people seem to be very excited about football coming to India. I mean I have to say if all I could watch on TV was cricket, I would be excited too. I always said baseball was boring to watch, but cricket takes the title of "Most Boring Sport" in the world.

But back to football here, so far I am spending a week in each city. My first week here we were in Mumbai, one of the biggest cities in the world. Well now that I think about it, almost every big city in India is one of the biggest in the world when you have a population of over a Billion people. After a week in Mumbai we headed to Chennai where we actually had a day to travel around a little bit and do a little more than football.
Take a look at some of the pics.

Random Facts.

I love my job...and the more I think about it I love it more.

I am upset that I wont get to make it to Europe this year and play football. I love coaching but nothing is better than playing.

India has taught me a lot of things, and the biggest one is be happy with what god has blessed you with, it can always be worse.

Indian people are literally the nicest people on earth, when you walk down the streets you would wonder how people could be so happy. Their happiness brightens my day when I am down.

I am in hurry right now, people are rushing me to go out since bars here in Chennai close at 11pm.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.....

So about 2 weeks ago, I was living in Brazil with plans of being there for another 2 months. Then I recieved a call from a friend telling me about a opportunity to come to India to help start a football league. My first thought was India? and Football? Those two words don't usually go together.

After listening to my friend for a while it was time to weigh my options. Brazil or India....

I have to admit I didn't want to leave Brazil, I was coming off of one of the best weekends of my life....

Just take a look...This is what my weekend consisted of....

Inspite of all this, I still decided to go to india....

Can't lie and say I don't miss all my teammates and friends out in Brazil...I'll for sure visit sometime soon. Thanks for all the great memories...

3 Game Suspension

So if you seen my post of facebook, you know that I was kicked out of a game and then suspended for 3 more. On top of that there was a small fine...

So everyone will tell you I am pretty laid back and no confrontational...

UNLESS..Im in poland and some ignorant person wants to call me a "Ni@@a" or scream white power at me...or do monkey chants and things like that....Sorry I could rant all day about that...And Poland is not really that bad, I love it there.."Poland Gang"....

But back to the game, so it is the start of the 2nd half and we are kicking the ball off to the other team. Like always I'm running down the field....BUT this time a guy sticks his leg out and trip me....so the play isnt over so I get up off the ground and continue running when I feel someone jump on my back and punch me in the head. Yes, the dude punched me in the head...So at this point I'm now officially pissed. So I give him a small push...Maybe it was a little late but I'm still not convinced it was worth a 3 game suspension.

Sooo, that's all??? You may be asking....NO...I was then blindsided by another guy on their team..who happen to be the guy who tripped me in the beginning. (I think this was planned, take out the American)....But I don't retaliate because I know I will be the first person the kick out...

What happens next I can't even explain...Just take a look for yourself....

Iguazu Falls, WTF

So I know its been a month since my last post (I've been constantly reminded), but let's look on the bright side, it's an eleven month improvement....

With that said,  I have to say it has been a pretty interesting few week..So I will try to go over the events in the order that they happened....

First off, I swear I live in the rainiest place on earth. It rains here everyday and I am not exaggerating at all...So being the smart guy that I am,  I've learned to stop canceling plans because of the rain. My first few weeks I would want to do something, and it would rain and I would say, "I'll wait until tomorrow". Well considering a day without rain isn't likely, tomorrow never f'n comes. Which is something else you will learn about the brazilian culture, you ask for something. They say "tomorrow"...how fitting because tomorrow never comes..so if you want something done...do it yourself.

So a few weeks back we had a 12 hr bus trip to play a game and it  just so happen to have a gave a few miles away from Iguazu Falls. So me and a few guys decide we are going to go see these waterfalls  before the game. Of course once we get to the city its pouring down rain...And one of my teammates is like "maybe we should go tomorrow". I responded "FUCK THAT", I've learned if you want to do something, do it because tomorrow may never come.

So we pile into a taxi and when I say piled, I'm positive the people in the taxi weighed a lot more than the actual car did. With a lot of tire scrubbing and damage to the car, we finally made it.

But I know if you are anything like me, your first thought was WTF is  Iguazu Falls. Well it's only the largest waterfall in the world...For all my Americans/Canadians who have been to Niagara Falls, I can only image Iguazu Falls saying "Niagara Falls aint got shit on me"...In the Denzel washington voice of course....

Take a look

That took up a little more space than I planned, so i'll break the events down..Up Next My GAME: 3 Week suspension for what???

My First Blog Ever.......Hopefully Not My Last

So first off let me start by saying F@&k punctuation, grammar and even spelling.....I'm a man on the run...

Now that we got that out the way, lets get started.

I figured after all my years of traveling and living in different countries, I should be doing more with my experiences. Hmmm for example sharing them with other, so I decided to make a blog. I actually created the blog more than a year ago but as you can see, this is post #1.

So this is how this blog is going to work.
1. I am going to do really cool shit...
2. I will tell you about all the really cool shit I do.
3. I'll do more cool shit, and you will wish you was doing it with me.

Simple...Right?? Not exactly, occasionally I throw in some throw back materials from the past so that you can see the cool things I've already done but probably didn't tell you about...But I'll be sure to enter into the title THROWBACK...So you are not wondering, how the hell was in Brazil yesterday and somewhere in Europe today...

YES, I am in Brazil btw if you didn't know. It's okay to be jealous...

Weekend plans:
-Game  - I'll go ahead and say were going to kick some ass after losing our last game pretty bad.
-Going to see one of the most visited places in South America, pics coming soon...

Random:
So the bird below, I think we can all agree thats pretty cool. So two days ago while at school(english teacher), I'm walking outside to the gym with some students. And about 20 of these birds fly by, Im all excited like. "wow did you guys see that". Of course they all look at me as if something wrong with me and one guy says "It's a bird, we see it everyday..."
